MURGAN PARA ( OFF ROAD JEEP RIDE )

Murugan Mala is a small hill situated on the eastern side of Kurisumala. The temple of Lord Murugan, situated on this hill, was constructed using a single rock. It is also known as the Murugan Para and is situated about 8 km away from the town of Vagamon.

KACHARAM WATER FALLS

Due to the high velocity of the water flow over the rock, the waterfalls always have a distinctive mist emerging effect. This lovely picnic spot attracts thousands of tourists every year. Kacharam waterfalls will be an ideal place for you and your family to spent some quality time and get your mind and soul refreshed.

PRIVATE WATERFALLS

If you are worried about crowd , want privacy, some mean time , own the waterfalls for few hours ? Then pick the off season time and I skipped the usual waterfalls, tried to duplicate the experience.

EARCHIPARA WATER FALLS

The waterfall originates from the Earchipara Water. Though the stream creates lots of cascades, most of them are inaccessible. But, due to its visual treat, this destination is one of the most preferable destinations for the tourists.

BRAMAM SHOOTING POINT / LEMON GRASS VIEW POINT

Famous after the movie malayalam Bhramaram where Mohanlal rides the jeep on top of this rocky mountain. Even thought its not a complete off road route, its better to go in the jeep as the road condition is very bad for the cars. We need to trek through a narrow path for around 500 meters from the parking area to reach this plain rocky view point. This area is surrounded by the lemon grass farming. The view from the top of this rock is really amazing and sunset view is really a good scenary from here.

HONEY ROCK

This is an off road drive which will take us into the forest area. We will go through some narrow and bumpy roads which will give the real experience of an off road drive. From the parking area, we need to trek for around 1km through a narrow path to reach the tip of a mountain. This is a real scenic place and a paradise for the photographers.

FRUITS GARDEN ( APPLE ORCHID )

Kanthalloor is also called as the apple village of Kerala. There are few fruits and vegetable garden in this place. Apples, Oranges as well as several varieties of Peaches and Plums are grown here. There are also Pears, Cherimoya (soursop), Persimmon, Strawberry, Blackberry, varieties of Guavas, variety of Bananas, Litchis, Tree tomato, Jamun, Black Sapote and the very rare Brazilian tree grape (Jabuticaba) and many many other exotic fruits.

SANDAL FOREST

This beautiful destination is the only place in Kerala that has natural sandalwood forests and the vast sugarcane farms, known for the best variety of solid molasses (Jaggery in Malayalam).

MUNIYARA - ANAKOTTAPARA PARK

The Muniyara Dolmens are magnificent prehistoric dolmens, situated in Marayoor, Idukki. The tourists trek through the area of Muniyara to reach 15 different types of Dolmens, which belongs to the Neolithic Age, i.e. between 3000 BC and 14000 BC.

NIGHT CHINNAR FOREST SAFARI

Located on the Western Ghats of Kerala, the Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary has a great number of exotic plants and animals. It spreads across 90 sq km and is a protected area because of its exceptional flora, fauna, and ecological features. A night safari through the sanctuary is a unique experience. Imagine traveling through the dark forest under a starry sky, looking for movements in the bushes.

THOVANAM WATER FALLS ( TREKKING )

Deep inside the Chinnar wildlife sanctuary lays the Thoovanam waterfalls. The waterfalls is created by River Pambar. You have to take a trek into the forest in order to reach the waterfalls. It is around 60 km away from the Munnar town. You can enjoy the sights of wild flora and fauna here. This trekking experience itself makes Thoovanam different from other waterfalls in Munnar. The trek starts from Alampatty Forest check post and it will around one hour to reach the waterfalls.

CHINNAR -KOOTTAR RIVER TREKKING WITH BATHING

The Chinnar River originates in the Annaimalai Hills below a grassy pass between the hills Kumarikkal Mala and Kaladekatti Malai In Idukki District, Kerala state South India.
